Paramount has only just revealed the full title for the movie, but fans have already been treated to the first glimpses of Ethan Hunt’s next Impossible task.

The upcoming film will see Tom Cruise return as the hardy agent, and he will once again be joined by Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner who have reprised their roles from the last instalment, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

Cruise was eager to share the news of the latest teaser as he took to Twitter yesterday and wrote: "I’m Excited to share the first footage for Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation with you."

The trailer shows Ethan escape capture from the ‘Syndicate’, the new force to be reckoned with, with the help of the beautiful Rebecca Ferguson.

Ferguson, 31, took the lead in the mini-series about the life of Queen Elizabeth I, The White Queen, back in 2013 and last year stood by Dwayne Johnson’s side in Hercules in Brett Ratner’s re-telling of the Greek Epic.

The teaser also features the obligatory M:I motorcycle chase before the trailer is brought to a dramatic climax with the reckless Ethan Hunt hanging off the side of a plane taking off into the sky.

The title for the movie caused a bit of a scene within the industry, according to the Hollywood Reporter, as it shares a vital word with the Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One.

Paramount studios worked out a deal with Disney, who control the Star Wars franchise, that means Disney will not be referring to Rogue One this summer to avoid any confusion.

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation is due for release on July 31.
