James Bond latest news: Spectre pays homage to Roger Moore

DANIEL CRAIG looks a lot like Roger Moore in the new poster for the latest James Bond's film Spectre.

Fresh from his rather less serious appearance on Comic Relief, Craig is back to his brooding best in the latest image released for the highly anticipated film.

The poster presents a classic image of the secret agent sporting an iconic Bond look of a black polo neck and a holstered PP7 pistol.

In fact, it bears a strinking similarity to Roger Moore's rugged outfit in 1973's Live And Let Die.

These days, as the hype builds, even posters get a teaser trailer and the official James Bond twitter account posted a teaser in anticipation for the poster.

The tweet showed the Spectre octopus logo formed by a bullet hole in glass, with the words, “Teaser poster coming tomorrow”.

No wonder expectations are so high for the 24th outing of Ian Fleming legendary character.

The Sam Mendes-helmed blockbuster is rumoured to have an enormous budget of over £200 million.

Although we have seen plenty of images of the film being shot in Mexico and more recently Italy, little is known yet about the plot, although the title at least tells us who Bond will be facing.

SPECTRE is an acronym for the Special Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism Revenge and Extortion.

The evil organisation appeared in the very first Bond film, Dr. No is 1962, headed up by one of the most popular Bond villians of all time, the bald and kitty-cuddling Blofeld.

Christoph Waltz has been announced to play the character Franz Oberhauser with Monica Belluci as Lucia Sciarra and Sherlock star Andrew Scott as Denbigh.

Ralph Fiennes returns as the new M alongside regulars Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw.

Spectre will be Craig’s fourth outing as Bond, but it won’t be his last as he is signed on to make one more.

Spectre is out in cinemas on November 6
