FAST And Furious 6 sees Vin Diesel and crew come to London for rubber-burning around Piccadilly Circus and other sites, especially in the City and East London, and the results are good fun, if not as exciting as Fast Five which raked in over $600 million.
More family saga than thriller, it sees Dwyane Johnson’s FBI agent round up Diesel’s retired crew of criminal street racers to combat a British baddie (Luke Evans) who now employs Diesel’s former lover Letty (Michelle Rodriquez), assumed dead in the last picture.
The highlight is a car-tank battle on a Spanish motorway; the climax itself, on a NATO base runway, never quite achieves liftoff.
