The Innkeepers review
MORE a mild campfire tale than a conventional scary movie The Innkeepers is a slow-burning, slightly amateurish affair.
Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy) are the only two staff at the Yankee Pedlar Inn on the final weekend before it closes.
A tragedy lurks in the hotel’s murky past and they have a shared fascination with the grisly fate of Madeline O’Malley. Does her ghost haunt the building?

How lucky that psychic Leanne (Kelly McGillis) is a guest. What follows is like a laconic variation on The Shining with a hint of romance. It has some charm but is quite underwhelming.
