Hall Pass film review and trailer
OWEN Wilson’s bouncy charm goes AWOL in dispiriting comedy Hall Pass, the latest disappointment from the Farrelly brothers (There’s Something About Mary).
He and Jason Sudekis play a pair of sleazy, unappealing husbands who are given a week off marriage, or “hall pass”, by their put-upon wives to indulge in any behaviour they see fit.
The premise has some potential but there’s no fun in it here. The duo are desperately sad and the humour is painful, lowest-common-denominator stuff. Result: fail.
