BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, Rami Malek’s Freddie Mercury biopic, is currently the best-selling film of 2019 on home release, ahead of The Greatest Showman.

Halfway through the year and Bohemian Rhapsody is still the biggest selling film of 2019 so far. Since its home release on disc and digital download, the Freddie Mercury biopic has sold just under 1.5 million copies. While Bohemian Rhapsody has managed to spend all but one of its 21 weeks in the Top 10 of the Official Film Chart. Here’s the full Top 10 for 2019 so far.

Interestingly, The Greatest Showman is only at No 7, but to be fair the movie musical released on home entertainment over a year ago.
If anything, it’s impressive that a movie that released cinematically in 2017 is still in Top 10 for the year so far at all.
Meanwhile, this week’s Official Film Chart Top 10 sees Bohemian Rhapsody holding on at No 10.
While Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel has debuted at No 1, leading its closest competition, Fighting With My Family, by almost 3-1 in its digital release.
Cinematically, Bohemian Rhapsody was the biggest film of 2018 in Japan.
The Freddie Mercury biopic’s box office was incredibly three times more than Avengers Infinity War in the island nation.
Bohemian Rhapsody is now the 16th highest-grossing movie of all time in Japan with almost $120 million made.
The film’s global box office now stands at $903.7 million on a budget of just $52 million.
