James Bond 25 UK release date EARLIER than worldwide for Daniel Craig’s final 007 outing
JAMES BOND 25’s new UK release date is earlier than for the rest of the world.
James Bond: Danny Boyle no longer directing new film
It’s been almost four years since the last James Bond movie Spectre was released. Nevertheless, principal photography on Bond 25, Daniel Craig’s fifth and final 007 outing, is set to begin next month. Originally the shoot was meant to kick off in December 2018, but director Danny Boyle left the project over “creative differences”. Now with Cary Fukunaga helming the movie, the film’s release date was pushed back from October 2019 to February, 14 2020.
However, it seems this wasn’t enough prep time for the new director, so Bond 25 has been delayed again to April 8.
This was announced last month by the Bond producers through the official 007 Twitter account.
They wrote: “The release date for Bond 25 has changed.
“Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli: 'We are absolutely thrilled to be releasing Bond 25 on 8 April 2020.'"
However, the UK Film Distributors’ Association has Bond 25 listed as Friday, April 3.
That’s a whole five days before the rest of the world for lucky UK fans.
Meanwhile, Broccoli has spoken out on those rumours the title is Shatterhand.
An autograph hunter caught Broccoli in London and asked her to sign a fan-created Shatterhand logo.
In the picture shared online, Broccoli clearly wrote, “It’s not” with an arrow pointed at the title.
So by the looks of things Shatterhand really is just the working title for Bond 25.
Nevertheless, the real title reveal looks likely to happen pretty soon if the shoot is to begin in April.
Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas on April 3, 2020.
