Pirates of the Caribbean 6: Disney seeking REBOOT – Is Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow out?
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 6 may be a reboot from the Deadpool screenwriters, so is Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow out?

The billion-dollar franchise saw its fifth outing released last year with Depp’s Captain Jack sailing off into the sunset once more.
But while plans for a Pirates of the Caribbean 6 have been in the works, it now looks like the film will be a reboot.
According to Deadline, Disney has had early talks with Deadpool and Zombieland screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick about writing a script.
At this point, it’s unclear if the move would mean the end of Depp’s role as Jack Sparrow.
Such a move sounds risky since Depp’s pirate is essentially the figurehead of the franchise. It’s also unclear what sort of reboot Disney could have planned.
Would this mean a different actor playing Sparrow or would the film be more of a spin-off set in the same universe?
The latter is what happened with Jurassic World, which included Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm in the latest outing.
Speaking with Digital Spy, the producer wasn’t in favour of Sparrow being recast either.
Bruckheimer said: “I just don’t see it. The secret to any successful franchise is picking talented people, and Johnny is absolutely key to the success of Pirates.
“He's such a unique character, such an endearing character, and such an irreverent character all in one.
“He hasn't changed at all! That's what's so great about him. He's still the same guy he was in the first one.”
The scene saw the return of Davy Jones, who was played by Bill Nighy in Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End.
The villain had died, but since Salazar’s Revenge saw all curses of the sea reversed so was his.
Although if a reboot is in the works perhaps this cliffhanger will now be ignored.
