Kimberley Walsh lands TV spot
WHILE her bandmate Cheryl Cole has been forced to pull out of The X Factor to receive treatment for malaria, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has landed her own regular spot in front of the camera.
The Bradford-born singer will present Suck My Pop, a music and celebrity news show on entertainment channel Viva.
Kimberley will be hosting with newcomer Will Best and will be interviewing her peers in the music industry.
Although Kimberley, 28, has dabbled in presenting during the band’s “hiatus”, fronting coverage of the Bafta awards for MTV, this is her first official post and she has already learned how to win fans over.
“I’m so excited. It’s going to be such a fun show,” she says. “If I wasn’t presenting, I’d definitely be watching it!”
