THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON FIT TO RUN THIS COUNTRY...

10.09.08, 10:48am

Unfortunately, she is too old now but surely, amongst our politicians there must be another Maggie! Another Boudicca and Iron Lady to save us from those dreadful commie union leaders.

DO YOU WANT DAVID CAMERON TO RUN OUR COUNTRY?

Not particularly no.....

But given the alternative..... yes.

I would prefer David Davis or Anne Widdecombe in charge of the Conservatives though.

They say what they mean, and mean what they say... unlike the sound bites coming from Cameron.

I still believe he would do more for this country than Jock McBroon and his rabblerousers.

HMM TORIES CAN'T BE ANY WORSE THEN LABOUR SURLEY CAN THEY?

29.08.08, 11:40am

Not a really a Tory supporter don't trust any of these tax grabbing control freaks but surely cameron can't do any worse then Brown can he?

Then again when Blair started as PM he had the same statesman stance as Cameron and look how bad Britian now has become.

DAVID CAMERON TO RUN THIS COUNTRY?

I wouldn't mind him although I will not vote for him. In case he has'nt noticed, it is the EU that runs this Country, and it was the Conservatives that had one great hand in making sure that the EU or EEC as it was then had the powers given to them to do just that.

I would much prefer a British PM to run this Country, but seemingly they just want the position, the money and the vast expenses as if they are actually running it. Sadly for all of us, the money is running out along with a lot of other things none of them has taken care of. We have no money now to spare for those that want the trappings yet do not want to do the job. Just join the q

If Boris Johnson was Conservative Leader, then
yes I probably would vote Conservative.
I do agree with most of the comments, but when
it comes to individuals, Boris comes across as
being refreshingly honest., and certainly not
afraid of expressing his views, despite who he upsets in the process, and there is no politician
I can think of in either of the Political Parties who
has these qualities.
But, if I am honest, 1 feel the same despair as that
of the majority of these comments, and can only
say "May God Help Us All!!!

THE ONE THING WE ALL KNOW: LABOUR HAS TO GO.

28.08.08, 3:28pm

THE critical thing at the next election, for me, is to get this Labour "government" out of power.

They have failed us on management of the public finances, on violent crime, on immigration, on civil liberties, and on miisguided devolution. They have also introduced a nanny state that noone is happy with. I could go on and on. I genuinely hate what they have done to this country.

I was not a natural Tory voter but I see the reality of the situation. A vote for any other party than Conservative at the next election is a vote that might have the effect of keeping Labour in power.

That surely cannot be allowed to happen. Can you imagine waking up on the morning after the next election and finding we have five more years of this lot? I would become suicidal.

And so, I am going to vote Tory.

ONLY IF DAVE IS GENUINE.

28.08.08, 12:47am

Dave will never be a Maggie, but will as he says stand for all who back Britain through thick and thin.

For example, will he say before he becomes PM, he will never sell Gibraltar down the river and will he ensure they will always have the same rights and privileges as the Isle of man residents or those of the people of Jersey.

Will he ensure the that all Gurkha's who have served in the UK forces have the right to settle in the UK.

You have the news paper, I simply ask that you challenge him on my points, if he doesn't respond, I respectfully request, that you allow me a small column in your paper to challenge him, after all you can ensure I am not a naughty guy.

Regards, Rod.
