BROWNS EMPTY WORDS .

The flood victims on the outskirts of Hull, who live in the area of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, received £150 "flood relief" from our Council..
We are still living in caravans in our front gardens, and will be until at least Christmas.
I am fortunately insured, but dread our Insurance Renewal notice arriving.
The flooding in my area was wholly due to old, blocked,uncleaned and broken drains.....overloaded by far too much building
in recent years.( More houses, More Council Tax)??????And yet we will have to pay for the Councils mistakes and lack of upkeep.
By the way, the drains in my road are still waiting to be cleaned of silt. I think we have a date of Oct 9th..(the flood was 25th June).
