If by the PC brigade' anyone who disagrees with you on this then your view of history should be examined critically.

It is generally accepted that history is written by the 'winners' and therefore it is often wriiten with a positive spin in favour of those who came to power in the period concerned..

A look at an historic period from an independent perspective is useful if a proper understanding is to occur.
