Keep troops out of Libya
TALK of British troops being deployed on the ground in Libya is foolish beyond belief.
Those who advocated the toppling of Colonel Gaddafi predicted that a more stable, democratic and peaceful regime would emerge from the wreckage. Let us hope they are right.
But we have reached the “que sera, sera” stage of proceedings – what will be, will be. As the old song put it: “The future’s not ours to see.” Nor in this case is it ours to shed blood over.
