Concentrate on pensions
THE soaring cost of public sector pensions is one of the most serious threats to the living standards of the British people.
Unfunded liabilities grew by £100billion last year and meeting immediate payments for retired public servants will cost taxpayers £18billion next year alone.
If ministers would only concentrate on tackling the issues that are their direct responsibility rather than strutting upon the world stage then Britain would be in a much better condition.
