NHS guidelines on Caesarean section
GUIDELINES set by the NHS are crucial in determining your likelihood of getting treatment to combat everything from cancer to mental health problems.
So, when it decrees any woman can opt for a Caesarean section without any medical necessity you just know the decision is sure to have huge impact.
An extra £5million minimum will be added to the NHS budget as anyone who is “too posh to push” or wants a C-section for any other reason will be given the operation they desire.

While risking the obvious charge that I’m only a man so can never understand, could I point out that women have been having children since time began; their bodies are designed for this; a C section is a major medical operation, not a cosmetic nip and tuck; and recovery takes considerably longer than with a “natural” birth.
Of course this procedure should be available for any woman who requires it medically, but to put it on a free for all basis is nuts.
A child could work that out.
