I feel humiliated says Kirstie
CHEERS star Kirstie Alley last night told of her “humiliation” after putting on 80lbs – and turning her gym into a dining room.
But she pledged to be back in a bikini by the autumn after kick-starting her own weight-loss programme.
Kirstie, 58 , has vowed to get a “ripped body” by November after putting back on nearly all the weight she lost three years ago.
The Emmy award-winning actress set her ambitious target as she returned to Oprah Winfrey’s US chat show. Kirstie appeared on the show in 2006 and showed off her slimmed-down figure after losing seven stones.
But last night the yo-yo dieting star was back, admitting she felt “fat”.
She said: “It’s humiliating. The biggest, most painful thing for me is that I had all those people I inspired and I let them down.”
Kirstie, who is thought to be around 15 stone, admitted she had stopped weighing herself. “I just sort of said, ‘I’m going to cut myself some slack’. Big mistake,” she said
She told how she turned her home gym into a dining room – but was filmed moving the equipment back in.
She also claimed that she had lost 20 pounds in the last five weeks.
Oprah warned her on the show: “I want you to do it in your own time.
“I don’t want you on national television to set yourself up.”
