The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that the former Two And A Half Men star is on the receiving end of legal action, but did not confirm the accuser's identity.
“This is a very sensitive investigation,” a police source told the New York Daily News.
“I’m confirming that yes, the search warrant was served. Based on the elements of the allegations, this is a felony investigation.
"But keep in mind these are only allegations at this point."

The accusations centre on a 35-minute audio tape, first reported earlier this month by RadarOnline, in which the star can allegedly be heard threatening Brett's life whilst speaking to another woman.
"This piece of s*** needs to be f****** buried," he says, according to Radar.
"Family of gangsters. You get it. I can't be f****** extorted. It's called treason. You know what treason is?
"It's punishable by death. I'd rather spend 20 grand to have her head kicked in. Then people will realise."
After reading reports about the tape, Rossi is said to have gone to the police and triggered the investigation.
