The Libertines win best festival headliners award
Reunited rockers THE LIBERTINES were honoured at an awards ceremony in London on Monday (01Dec14) as they were named the best headline act at a British festival in 2014.
The band's set at British Summer Time in Hyde Park in July (14) won the award for Headline Performance of the Year at the U.K. Festival Awards.
London-based rockers Wolf Alice were named Best Breakthrough Artist, and Calvin Harris' smash hit Summer won the Anthem of the Summer honour.
Glastonbury, which included headline sets from Metallica and Kasabian, won the award for Best Major Festival, Creamfields took the Best Dance Event title, and the organisers of V Festival were praised for their hygiene standards - the event won the Best Toilets honour.
