Diane Warren honoured for gay rights support
Songwriter DIANE WARREN is to be honoured with a special award for her support of the gay community.
The I Don't Want To Miss A Thing hitmaker is to be feted by the Point Foundation, which helps young members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community with their education.
Warren, who is a vocal supporter of gay rights, is to receive the organisation's Leadership Award at the Voices On Point concert and dinner in September (14).
Jorge Valencia, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Point Foundation, says, "Diane Warren has earned fame and respect not just through the creation of an incredible body of music, but also because of her empathy, integrity and her commitment to education... We are honoured to recognise Diane Warren's accomplishments by presenting her with the Point Foundation Leadership Award."
The Voices On Point event takes place in Los Angeles on 13 September (14).
