A dead ringer! Adrian Chiles is compared to survival expert Ray Mears in hilarious tweets
LUCKILY Adrian Chiles is known more for his presenting skills rather than his sense of style after his latest sartorial effort left him the subject of ridicule.
The football pundit has been lampooned in the twittersphere after he appeared on screen wearing a khaki green-T-shirt which he matched with a pair of tight shorts.
The 47-year-old's sports pundit's questionable safari look resulted in a series of hilarious tweets comparing him to survival expert Ray Mears.
Twitter user Dave Seed wrote: "How long has Ray Mears been presenting the footy?"
While another user Ross Carrington quipped: "Why is Adrian Chiles dressed like he is off for a weeks camping with Ray Mears? #cargoshortsandboots #lostman"
Chiles was hosting ITV’s Holland vs Mexico match yesterday, which took place in 39 degree heat in Fortaleza.

But it wasn't all bad for the football host as one user commended his outfit, tweeting: "I'm loving Adrian Chiles more casual look on ITVs #WorldCup2014 coverage"
The former Daybreak and One Show presenter previously opened up to express.co.uk about the abuse he receives on the social networking site.
He said: "I think that's what tends to happen on Twitter. I don't tweet. I don't really read it, only bits and pieces. I don't really want to give it credence.
"It doesn't bother me. I don't know why anybody does do Twitter. For me, it is like giving out your home phone number to everyone. But I'm still here, so I must be doing something right."
He added: "Feedback, as I do the rounds, is good. What am I meant to do? If I read it, I wouldn't get out of bed in the morning.

"Everyone seems to get abuse on Twitter. I don't know why. Of course, I do feel my hackles rise if someone is having a go at West Brom."
"I understand that. I suppose if you did get going on Twitter, the temptation to dish out your own abuse would be overwhelming," he said.
Holland went on to win the match 2-1.
