Dolly Parton dazzles at Glastonbury as she is given honour for record sales
CURRENTLY performing in front of thousands of people at Glastonbury Festival, Dolly Parton has a lot to smile about.
But it turns out there was one more thing to get her in a good mood ahead of the performance.
The singer, whose Glastonbury performance marks her first ever festival gig, was given a plaque backstage in recognition of her 100m record sales worldwide.
The 68-year-old country, who revealed Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora will join her on stage later today, receieved the coveted plaque before she took to the infamous Pyramid stage to perform what she has called her biggest gig yet.
Singing a medley of her greatest hits, including 9 to 5 and I Will Always Love You, Dolly looked like she was having a whale of a time as she watched as thousands of people sang her lyrics back to her at Worthy Farm, Somerset today.
Speaking about the performance, she revealed that she is planning on getting the party started.

"We'll keep it moving' pretty good."

Her performance has been the talk of the weekend, with several performers jokingly threatening to abandon their performances on other stages to catch the singer in action.
And bands who have been lucky enough to not be billed at the same time as the veteran star have revealed their plans to catch the performance.
Even Lars Ulrich, of Saturday night headliners Metallica, said: "I'll have a hangover on Sunday but I want to see The Horrors, The Black Keys and Dolly Parton,.
"I'm a big fan. We all bow to the altar of Dolly."
One lucky famous fan even got the chance to meet the star yesterday.
Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell took to her Twitter page to show off the meet and greet, posting a snap of the pair backstage along with the caption: "I love her x."
Meanwhile, a flashmob, or "Dollymob" as it is being called, has been planned for Dolly's performance of Jolene, after fans were encouraged to learn the simple dance routine, which Glastonbury organisers posted on YouTube last month.
