Lynda Bellingham puts her cancer troubles behind her and glams up for theatre visit
SHE recently opened up about her battle with cancer, but Lynda Bellingham seemed to have put her troubles behind her last night as she got dressed up for a visit to the theatre.
The actress, who revealed her cancer diagnosis last summer, was in great spirits as she joined her husband Michael Pattemore for the VIP showing of The Full Monty at the Noel Coward Theatre.
Sporting her new silver hairdo, which she debuted on This Morning earlier this month, the 65-year-old looked gorgeous opting for a long suede coat and a pair of navy heels.
The Loose Women star joined the likes of Lisa Riley and Denise Welch at the event and it certainly seemed as though she was enjoying herself as she sipped on champagne and mingled with the famous faces.
She later took to her Twitter account to air what a good time she had, writing: "I have been out folks! Went to 1st night of Full Monty to support my friend David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers. Fantastic play go and see it."
Speaking about her cancer diagnosis last year, she said: "I'm dealing with it but there are thousands of people out there with exactly the same thing, getting on with it and not talking about it," she added.
"I feel out of respect for them - and in a sense you've got to have some things in your life that are private - I'd rather just deal with it, get it over with and then I'll talk about it."
The former Loose Women star is determined not to let the illness dominate her life, and overshadow other aspects of it such as her new novel.
"Let’s be honest, it's horrible," she said. "There's no getting away from that, and it doesn't deserve the blimming space, let's not give it advertising space!"
