She should be so lucky! Kylie Minogue gets £250k pay rise for boosting The Voice ratings
KYLIE Minogue is set to get a whole lot richer after the BBC have reportedly decided to give her a bumper pay rise of £250,000.
The 45-year-old singer's appearance on The Voice has added an incredible two million viewers, so obviously bosses are very pleased with her work and want it to continue.
Last weekend's show pulled in an audience of 10million - which matches the last series of ITV's The X Factor.
According to The Sun, a source said: "The Kylie effect is incredible, she's turned the show around. This could have been the final series but if the 'Kylie Effect' holds, it's a dead cert to come back. Thanks to her, it's finally looking like a serious rival to The X Factor."
And in order to ensure that the Australian pop star doesn't leave after just one series, they are prepared to offer her £900,000 instead of the £600,000 she has been paid this year.
Kylie, who replaced Jessie J on the panel, is said to have originally asked for £2million to be on the BBC One show.
"Kylie's sitting pretty for another year and deserves a pay rise, but she won't get silly money," a source added.
