Sneak peak! Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and Will.I.Am are snapped filming The Voice advert
LOCAL SHOPPERS in Manchester City centre were left starstruck today after spotting Kylie Minogue, Tom Jones and Will.I.Am filming the latest advert for The Voice.
Kylie is the latest edition to the singing reality show along with Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs.
The quartet were seen dressed as doctors as they spent the day filming on the first floor of Piccadilly Place near the heart of the city centre.
Kylie, 45, wore a white doctor's coat and kept her hair up in a bun, while Will.I.am, 38, kept his trademark sunglasess on despite being indoors.
Playing the lead consultant was Sir Tom Jones who looked sophisticated in a black trouser suit and stethoscope.
The last series of The Voice reached the lowest TV ratings in its two-year history with only 5.89 million people tuning in to watch the programme.
BBC Bosses have placed their hopes on Kylie joining the judging panel to reverse the low viewing figures and boost the popularity for the Saturday night show.
Mark Linsey, BBC Controller of Entertainment Commissioning, said: “Kylie is a hugely respected figure within the world of music and will be a fantastic addition to The Voice UK."
He also added:"She is a true pop icon and her longevity in the industry is testament to her creative and musical ability."
Under Kylie's legendary music belt is worldwide record sales of more than £68 million, ten world tours, eleven successful albums and over 50 hit singles internationally which makes her the perfect mentor for contestants starting out in the music industry.
Upon her announcement as judge for the show, Kylie said: "I'm very excited to become a coach on The Voice. I love the concept of the show and have been an avid viewer of both series."
She also added: "The search for new talent is such an important aspect of the music industry and The Voice gives us all a part to play in that."
