Bob Geldof: My children need to find their own musical feet
THEY may have an internationally renowned musician for a father but Bob Geldof says his children shouldn’t expect any help from him with their various musical ventures.
Despite describing his work as the “best possible job on the planet” the Boomtown Rat says he doesn’t ever offer careers advice to his three children with Paula Yates, Fifi Trixibelle, 30, Peaches, 24, Pixie, 23, and adopted daughter Tiger, 17, whose father was INXS front man Michael Hutchence.
“I couldn’t possibly advise. It’s not my place,” 61-year-old Bob tells Classic Rock magazine.
“I wouldn’t know what to say. Some of my kids are in bands and I think they’re good, excellent even but I let them get on with it. Whether it is a career or something that just compels them I don’t really know.”
