Joan Collins to re-live rape ordeal for show
Actress JOAN COLLINS is to re-live her rape ordeal in a new documentary.
The former Dynasty star revealed in a 2011 book that she had been sexually assaulted on a first date by film star Maxwell Reed and only agreed to marry him because she was embarrassed he had taken her virginity.
Now she is to recall the effects of her harrowing ordeal during an interview for upcoming show Brave Miss World, which examines the impact of rape on victims.
Collins tells Hello! magazine, "I rarely talk about what happened to me. I was 18 at the time and thought it was my fault. But rape is a terrible crime that is still persistent everywhere - in Africa and the Middle East, all over the world. It's horrific. Disgraceful."
