Carey Mulligan and Isla Fisher step out for spring at The Great Gatsby premiere
ALL eyes were on Carey Mulligan and Isla Fisher when they walked the red carpet at the world premiere of 'The Great Gatsby' last night.
The ladies arrived at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City wearing very different ensembles, but looking equally as striking as they promoted their latest movie.
Mulligan highlighted her very slender figure by wearing a bright red strapless dress which she teamed with black peep toe heels.
The blonde star was without her husband Marcus Mumford as she posed for the cameras, and kept a rather serious face as she walked the carpet.
The 'Drive' star kept her make up minimalistic and pulled her blonde hair back into a messy do.
She was followed by Fisher, who looked beautiful in a black floral dress that featured a sheer lace skirt.
The mother-of-two teamed the long-sleeved dress with a black clutch bag, red lipstick and a wavy hairstyle, which was pulled to the side.
Other glamorous ladies who were present at the wolrd premiere included singers Florence Welch and Emeli Sande and actress Nina Dobrev.
Welch, who has contributed to the film's soundtrack, modelled her usual vintage style by arriving in a floor-length navy blue dress which she teamed with a neckerchief and a blue sequinned handbag.
Sande, who is currently celebrating the record-breaking success of her first album, looked lovely in a midi-length black lace dress and strappy heels while wearing dark red lipstick.
The ladies were joined on the black carpet by the male stars of the film: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton.
'Djangi Unchained' star DiCaprio looked cool, calm and collected as he posed for photographers wearing a smart navy blue suit with a matching tie.
He spent time speaking with journalists while Maguire posed alongside his pretty wife Jennifer Meyer.
Obviously, director of the movie Baz Luhrmann was also present at the premiere and had his wife Catherine Martin on his arm.
The 50-year-old also spent time cuddling up to Florence Welch on the black carpet before heading inside to watch his masterpiece.
'The Great Gatsby' follows the life and times of millionaire Gatsby and his neighbour Nick Carraway, who recounts his encounter with Gatsby at the height of the Roaring Twenties.
Maguire takes on the role of Carraway, while Leonardo DiCaprio plays the part of Gatsby.
Mulligan portrays his love interest Daisy Buchanan and Fisher takes on the role of Myrtle Wilson.
The film is based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald and is set for release on May 10.
