Adams set to go Into The Woods for New York's summer stage show
Three-time Oscar nominee AMY ADAMS is to make her mark on the New York stage after signing on to make her major Big Apple theatrical debut in a revival of STEPHEN SONDHEIM and JAMES LAPINE's INTO THE WOODS.
The Doubt star will play the Baker's Wife this summer (12) in the Public Theater production of the beloved musical in Central Park, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Previews will begin in July (12) with the official opening set for 9 August (12).
Meanwhile, Oliver Platt has been announced as the lead for As You Like It as part of the venue's Shakespeare in the Park season, which begins in June (12). He'll play Touchstone in the comedy, opposite U.S. TV stars Lily Rabe and Renee Elise Goldsberry.
As previously reported by WENN, Steve Martin is composing a banjo score for the production, which features a live bluegrass band.
