Gallagher blasts Radiohead in expletive-strewn rant
Rock wildman LIAM GALLAGHER has aimed a foul-mouthed rant at RADIOHEAD, accusing the band of writing about "a thousand year old tree" on their new album.
The Creep hitmakers surprised fans last month (Feb11) with the sudden release of their eighth record, The King of Limbs, which is named after a famous ancient oak in the Savernake Forest.
But Gallagher has mocked the band's choice of inspiration in an expletive-strewn rant, telling them: "Go f**k yourself."
The furious Beady Eye frontman tells TheQuietus.com, "I heard that f**king Radiohead record and I just go, 'What?!'... I like to think that what we do, we do f**king well. Them writing a song about a f**king tree? Give me a f**king break! A thousand year old tree? Go f**k yourself!... You'd have thought he'd have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?"
