Cowell gives stars £1.2m Direction
ONE Direction, beaten X Factor finalists, have signed a £1.2million record deal with Simon Cowell’s management company, Syco.
And the boy band are not alone – as Cowell has also promised runner-up Rebecca Ferguson and teenager Cher Lloyd similar deals, to be penned in the New Year. The trio will all be signed to labels within the umbrella of Sony Music, of which Syco is a lucrative part.
A source close to Cowell revealed last night how the music mogul had phoned all three runners-up to discuss their futures.
