Sue Cleaver's new career away from Coronation Street after feeling she 'wasn't enough'

Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver explained that her new venture will help to tackle issues regarding overthinking and losing faith in yourself

Sue Cleaver has shared that she is venturing into a new career away from TV after feeling like she 'wasn't enough'.

The Coronation Street star, who is known for her roles as Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap, has shared that she has written a book.

Posting to her Instagram account, the 60-year-old actress shared that her latest project 'A Work In Progress' is available to pre-order now on Amazon.

She shared a reel of her discussing her work as she captioned it: "I wrote a book!!! Yes me...!"

Speaking into the camera, Sue explained that her writing will tackle issues on overthinking and losing faith in yourself.

She said: "It's about my journey about my struggles with all of those things, especially overthinking and worrying and panicking about things. I just wanted to get on here and share it with you."

The description of her writing on Amazon explained why Sue decided to put pen to paper, as it read: "I've spent a lifetime feeling that I'm not enough or I don't belong.

"It's only now that I'm beginning to find my voice. I'm also aware that there is plenty for me to learn.

"I'm still a work in progress, but for the first time in my life, I have reached a point where I'm no longer hiding, and that feels good."

Earlier this year, Sue also revealed that she was heading back to the stage in her debut musical at Manchester's Palace Theatre.

Speaking of playing the role of Mother Superior in 'Sister Act The Musical', the talented actress said: "Theatre was always my first love and I always at some point wanted to go back into the Theatre.

"But the time was never right, but now it's the perfect timing so here I am! Strutting my stuff, in a habit and loving every minute of it."
