James sued by guitarist
ETTA JAMES is facing legal action from a guitarist who alleges the singer dropped him in the middle of her tour.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Leo Nocentelli alleges James verbally agreed to hire him to play on a year-long tour that kicked off in March 2008.
Nocentelli performed in the trek's first few stops until James fell ill and was forced to axe a string of dates.
The musician claims the At Last hitmaker neglected to tell him that she was cancelling the shows and didn't invite him to rejoin her once she had recuperated.
And when Nocentelli contacted the star to determine if he still had a job, James' representatives told him he "should have figured it out", reports TMZ.com.
The guitarist is seeking £33,300 for breach of contract.
