Gerard Butler: ‘Heartbroken’ actor finds remains of his home after California fires strike
GERARD BUTLER has revealed he is “heartbroken” after he discovered the devastation caused by the California wildfires had partially destroyed his home yesterday.

Scottish actor Gerard Butler, 48, was among the celebrities who fled their homes after the California fires caused destruction in the US state.
Luxury homes in Malibu and other beach communities are among properties that have fallen victim to the flames.
Taking to Instagram, the movie star shared a video which showed the devastation to his Malibu property.
He returned to his house with a dust mask around his face, to share with fans what remained of it and his belongings.

Gerard said: “Welcome to my home in Malibu. Half gone.”
He filmed the chargrilled debris and the remains of what his home.
The Hollywood star also uploaded a snap of himself outside his property which he captioned: “Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating.
“Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters.
“Thank you @LosAngelesFireDepartment. If you can support these brave men and women at SupportLAFC.org. Link in bio.”
His 2.2 million followers were quick to send their condolences, as one wrote: “I’m glad you’re good. Stay strong King.”
Another fan said: “Sorry to hear this. At least you’re safe and well.”
A third person wrote: “Wow! Glad you’re safe. Prayers for everyone. Thank you firefighters for all you do.”
Gerard also uploaded the same message to his 506,000 Twitter followers.
One fan wrote: “You have such class to show support for our firefighting heroes in a time of real personal loss. #Californiafires. Thank you @LAFD.”
Another said: “They do an incredible job the world over. Very brave people.”
Los Angeles firefighters have been battling to control the intense wildfires which have reportedly taken the lives of 31 people.
More than 250,000 people, including the entire city of Malibu which is home to some of the biggest names in Hollywood, have responded to orders to evacuate.
The fire is the most destructive in the state’s history and the joint deadliest.
According to fire officials, it has burned more than 109,000 acres (44,000 hectares) and destroyed hundreds of properties.
The Kardashians and Will Smith are among the celebrities who fled their homes for safety.
