Arsenal 'ready to sacrifice' Gabriel Jesus as Edu waits for offer after transfer trip
Gabriel Jesus could be set to leave Arsenal just two years after arriving from Manchester City.
Arsenal are reportedly open to the idea of selling striker Gabriel Jesus this summer, two years on from his blockbuster £45million arrival from Manchester City. The Brazilian's season has been hampered due to injury and Kai Havertz's transformation into a starting centre-forward has left Jesus' future in doubt at the Emirates.
The Athletic claim that Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for Jesus at the end of the season, having fallen down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.
Though the Gunners are in less of a need for an out-and-out centre-forward in the mould of targets Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokores, they are still interested in landing another attacker to bolster Arteta's frontline.
And Jesus or Eddie Nketiah could be sacrificed in order to raise the necessary funds and space in the squad for that addition. The Brazilian forward has started just 17 Premier League games this season and worries over his fitness continue to linger, stemming from the knee injury he picked up at the 2022 World Cup.

Edu recently travelled to Saudi Arabia and although is said not to have discussed specific players or transfer dealings with clubs from the Middle East, will have built up relationships ahead of a busy summer.
Jesus could join the influx of big-name stars to the Saudi Pro League, but he almost certainly will have suitors from Europe, having proven himself as one of the top strikers in England when fit and firing.

Arteta is likely to be disappointed by the prospect of Jesus leaving north London, a player he is said to enjoy working with, but has been unable to rely upon for long stretches of the season due to injury.
Last month, Jesus admitted that he did not remember the last time he played "without pain" and may need further surgery this summer, casting doubt on his Copa America chances with Brazil.
"Sometimes I feel it (my knee)," Jesus said. "I don't remember the last time I played football without pain. I try to keep strong in mind."
When quizzed on the prospect of another forward joining Arsenal's ranks next season, Jesus replied: "They already know if they want one or not. This might be a question for them. My job is to train hard and improve what I have to improve. Speculation will always be there."
