Over time you may notice your white clothes greying. Thankfully, a content creator on TikTok, @desyr.reviews, has shared the best way to make your greys appear sparkling white again with two household items.

“Trying out a hack I saw for making your old dirty whites whiter,” they wrote in a TikTok video.

Throw your clothes in a bathtub with water and throw some baking powder on the clothes and allow it to fizzle.

Baking soda works as well, according to the content creator.

Throw in some hydrogen peroxide as well. Leave it for at least an hour, but you can leave it for up to overnight as well.

After the clothes has soaked, you will notice that it is already looking whiter. But the journey doesn’t end there. It’s possible to make the clothes even whiter.

Wash the clothes on cold with a little bit of detergent. When the clothes is done washing, instead of throwing them in the dryer, you’re going to head outside with it.

One person shared a clever tip of their own. They wrote: “Each time you do a white wash use one scoop of vanish crystal white half in the pre-wash half in the machine swear by it.”
