Hugh Jackman bravely strutted the runway alone on Monday after his unexpected split from Deborra-Lee Furness last year.
The 55-year-old marked his first solo Met Gala appearance in 20 years with a bold statement as he refurbished the very same Tom Ford tuxedo he had worn to his first-ever ball.
The Marvel legend’s look linked perfectly with the 2024 theme, Garden of Time, in honor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s newest exhibit, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.
The exhibit features rare archival fashion pieces that have become so delicate over time that some can no longer be worn.
However, his haute couture also seemed to have some personal meaning as the actor attended the 2004 ball with Deborra on his arm.

Taking to his Instagram, the Logan actor explained his look shortly before joining designer Tom Ford on the red carpet: “My original Tom Ford tuxedo. Refitted and repaired.”
He was later seen posing for a photo with his tuxedo's designer and luxury fashion house entrepreneur Tom Ford, and they both cut a dashing pair as they smiled for the cameras.
He finished off the refurbished look with some smart dress shoes and seemingly had his right pinky finger bandaged into a splint, although it’s currently unclear why.
Hugh plastered on his usual dashing smile as he flaunted a cheerful appearance for the cameras despite marking his first Met without Deborra.

The couple had been married for nearly three decades and had raised two children together, 23-year-old Oscar Maximillian and 18-year-old Ava Eliot, before their shock divorce last September.
Months earlier the pair had attended the 2023 Met Gala together, putting on a loved-up display as they laughed and pulled each other close in front of the photographers.
The Hollywood star has reportedly been finding solace in his children during this difficult time, according to a report by Woman’s Day released on Monday.
A source told the outlet the trio have “become closer than he could have imagined” and the siblings have “rallied” around their father after initiating a “save dad” plan.
